MondoGlobo

Is there anyone out there who wants to help organize a daily blog (which hopefully can grow into a full-fledged news and publishing site related to Civil liberties and anti-authoritarian topics.)?

We're looking for a few serious regular contributor writers, bloggers, researchers who want to make QA a must-read source .

Well, OK -- but we're interested chiefly in loss of liberty in heretofore (or nominally) liberal democracies. To me, that says we want to talk about civil liberty issues in the United States, in Australia, in Europe, in Japan, and to a certain extent in Latin America.

Elsewhere, I think we want to focus on advances in civil liberty where none has been presumed.

Of course, that just reflects my own preferences. In practice, I figure you're right -- wherever we have members. But for Australia -- well, Osbert's articles reflect on the civil liberties situation elsewhere in the world; I don't think the question of whether or not we actually have specific members in Australia is all that interesting here.

And of course you're entirely right about not covering authoritarian absurdity where it's seen as a foregone conclusion. That would increase the bandwidth, but not the signal-to-noise ratio.

Agreed. That sounds like pretty reasonable criteria to me so far. Thanks guys!
