QuestionAuthority Statement of Purpose

It seems like we need a short, sharp statement of purpose that people can easily wrap their heads around.

I worked this up:



QuestionAuthority intends to become an umbrella organization for all groups and individuals who believe that the United States has gone too far in an authoritarian direction. Among other things, QuestionAuthority will

A) Make provisions for a unified popular response to federal civil liberties emergencies.
B) Change the national discussion from left v. right to include issues of authoritarian v. non-authoritarian and pressure mainstream media to include anti-authoritarian views.
C) Launch an intensive national educational campaign to encourage Americans – and particularly young Americans – to QuestionAuthority.

QuestionAuthority also encourages chapters outside the United States that will deal with similar issues.

I agree something short and succinct is needed and this is a good start.

Here are a few wording suggestions- QuestionAuthority intends to become an umbrella organization (AND support network) for all groups and individuals (regardless of ideology) who believe that the United States (has veered in a dangerously authoritarian direction) and are ready to do something about it.

Among other things, QuestionAuthority will:

I like B and C alot, but don't think A is very clear. Maybe "Organize and provide a vehicle for unified popular resistance to federal encroachments upon civil liberties and personal freedom."
