About Me:
I am a self-proclaimed libertarian with anarchist tendencies. I ran a libertarian-minded blog out of New Mexico for a number of years (I shut it down recently) and have relocated to a government-free town (seriously, it's a former ghost town still privately owned by lot owners of which i am one) in the Ortiz Mountains of New Mexico.

I am in the process of building an off the grid, solar powered, strawbale home (incorporating a number of my own innovations) on 30 acres outside of the town and am blogging about that experience. While the project is certainly green in nature (one of the greenest around) greenness is less of my concern than is self-sustainability. Low energy use, rain catchement for water, gray water system etc etc etc devised to reduce as much as possible reliance on local energy monopoly (which, face it, is a quasi-state authority) and minimize my cost of living.

Sadly all of the hundreds of posts that were on my blog have been eliminated from typepad's servers so I have nothing to show for the Alpha membership.

town, like me with my store. There is no may
