A point everyone misses in the big debate over taxpayer funded
Medical insurance is that the President himself might not be eligible for it under some of the guidelines being proposed. For example, if you want this form of
Citizen insurance, then by golly, you better not be a smoker or a drinker. DENIED! That is what you will hear. So when you s…

When even a Democrat like Senator Robert Byrd objects to President Obama setting up a collective leadership of Czars in the White House, perhaps it is time for Americans to look more carefully at what appears to be a replica of a Soviet-style Politburo. These appointees do not have to be approved by Congress yet play controlling roles in the lives of Americans.
The term Politburo refers to the supreme policy-making body of the Communist party of the Soviet Union and became the model for other d…

#What It’s Like to Chill with the Most Ruthless Men in the World
Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic:
Confessions of a Female War Crimes Investigator
Retrospectively, it was all so simple, natural and matter of fact being on a boat restaurant in Belgrade, sitting with, laughing, drinking a two hundred bottle of wine and chatting about war and peace while Ratko Mladic held my hand. Mladic, a man considered the world’s most ruthless war criminal since Adolf Hitler, still at large and currently…

Who are the real terrorists? Terrorists will destroy at will to 'further' their cause, based on religious belief or political agenda. They care not who gets hurt as long as they can push their agenda.
So lets look at the financial meltdown through this lens. The Wall Street crew and the bankers have only one God- the Almighty Dollar. They manipulated the financial system to maximize their profit and wrecked said system. The damage done to America far exceeds anything Al-Qaeda could even dream of!…

It has been found in a research that
86% men are worried about the size of their penis. In another psychology research paper, it has been proven that this short-size problem affects men’s mental health when they have to face embarrassment while making love to their girlfriend or wife. What they start doing with romance and love ends in a disaster, sometimes even relationships break. A small or average size penis affects you in many ways such as;
* You sty away from women for the fear of…

The Anarchist Cafe is not a place, it's an event--a social experiment in urban anarchy. A-Cafe is an informal gathering for anarchists (of all stripes, sects, and creeds) to meet and talk with each other--which is free-form enough to allow people just to meet up and hang out if they want to hang out, but also where they can talk some shop, spread some news, and float some ideas for action. All Anarchists, anti-statists, and the anarchy-curious are invited to meet, greet, break some bread, talk s…

Maybe I've been reading the wrong blogs, but I've not read anything anywhere, that talks about the real fundamental primal quality of having a President that is obviously still ****ing his wife. Pardon the crudeness. But really, it is such a primal thing.
For millennia, leaders were elected on the basis of their virility, in part, and it played a crucially important role! Somehow our awareness of that has been suppressed and generally ignored, written off as 'primitive', and we've become somewha…

Estate tax only affects the wealthiest 1/2 of 1%
"We have to stop pretending that all cuts are equivalent or that all tax increases are the same. Ending corporate subsidies is one thing; reducing health-care benefits to poor children is something else. At a time when ordinary families are feeling hit from all sides, the impulse to keep their taxes as low as possible is honorable. What is less honorable is the willingness of the rich to ride this anti-tax sentiment for their own purposes.
Nowher…

I had the most fun ever on Sunday. I got up early, and spent the entire day crammed into a small, stuffy, poorly lit OTO temple in an industrial basement, with 20 strangers, on a hot sunny 80 degree Sunday, when being outdoors would be far nicer, but I had the best time I've had in a long time.
I went to an all day event by Lon Milo DuQuette, one of the world's most interesting authorities on the tarot, and on Aleister Crowley. Lon is a personal hero and MySpace friend, and somebody whose books…

Living in Seattle, we get to hear a lot about what goes on in Alaska... Here's some info on Palin from the horse's mouth.
Let's get some facts right.
What I know from reading and information sent to me by friends in Juneau :
Palin ran for Mayor of Wasilla on abortion, God and Guns. They had never had a partisan election in Wasilla until she ran against a guy that she said was not a “Christian” – The Republican party came in and made signs and slogans and ads for her. Basically, she ran on the…

Our community, Adidam, (devotees of the spiritual Master, Adi Da Samraj, aka Da Free John, Bubba, Franklin Jones) has always had a bit of an image problem, frankly.
Partly because Adi Da has never cowtowed to popular opinion, and has dived in to the depths of the human ego where angels fear to tread, and has always been controversial because of that; and partly because of the demands of a real spiritual practice that people encounter when they come looking, as has happens in any spiritual commu…

I started reading Obama's book last night, after an impulse buy at my local supermarket.
I wrote a little about it on my other blog, and immediately there was a response, warning me that all politicians are out to grab votes and don't necessarily tell the truth, and Obama might not be any different.
I hate that kind of comment. It assumes I'm some kind of dumbass girl, unable to form my own political opinion. I'm not a feminist per se, but those types of comment inspire a bit of indignation in…

Just my own thoughts on this tricky subject..
I wanted to write about this here, as Mondoglobo people are obviously interested in this particular topic! ;-)
I see freedom as a line, from a-z, a being the complicit, the childishly obedient, and z being the absolute anarchists, the adolescent rebels, the people who for most of my life, I most admired, being stuck as I was, painfully at about h, j or k, and an unwilling but complicit good girl. Mediocrity, at
best.
Sort of like the partisan strug…

On my blog, I discuss a wide variety of issues, including Michel Foucault's theory of governmentality and the question of how this applies to the dynamics and processes of globalization.

Lets start by identifying what we mean by "corrupt attorney". We have the ones who are overtly corrupt, stealing from and deserting their clients. Then we have others who practice in the gray area's, they know their boundaries, show up in court, file papers and able to identify a case that will give them the greatest profits. For these, if they have a client going for a small suit and one going for a larger suit they will choose the larger, this is profitable and there is little incentive to aid…

I suspect that the casualties of the dysfunctional legal system are as extensive as any natural catastrophe. Like individual raindrops they accumulate till it becomes a flood. Those damaged by this system are disenfranchised, marginalized and dismissed they are the disposable people. There are no statistics kept on this population, the metric is never collected from those that know whether they were represented in a professional manner. By the nature of this performance industry only two parties…

My girlfriend was a probono client of an attorney who was accused of stealing settlements and deserting clients.
Some history - In 1995 my girlfriend was walking when a medic's dog bit her, the medic told her that he would treat it if she would not turn his dog in. The medic did not treat her, he disappeared, but he did inform his insurance company of the incident. The attorney, my girlfriend and myself had a meeting with the insurance company where they stated that we had a case. Years pass an…

The fraud lies in the claim that when one retains a certified member of the Bar this member will execute an effective strategy, that the member will zealously and diligently represent the client. What the Bar does to ensure this effective representation is address failed attendance, not turning in the appropriate papers and billing problems - basically it addresses issues that the Better Business Bureau could. The Bar dismisses Strategy by telling a party questioning their representation…
